Travel Warning on the visit to occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan

 

The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States strongly advises that the citizens and permanent residents of the United States avoid visiting the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven adjacent districts of the Republic of Azerbaijan are currently under the illegal occupation by the Republic of Armenia. The illegal nature of this occupation is widely recognized by the international community, including the United Nations Security Council.

 

The laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan prohibit visiting occupied territories without the explicit consent of Azerbaijani authorities.

 

Without the explicit consent of and a visa issued by the authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a person, who made/makes a trip to the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan will not be granted a visa to the Republic of Azerbaijan and will be deported in case of his/her future entrance.

 

 

A)  Provide your PHYSICAL Passport.

  • The Passport MUST be signed.
  • Your Passport MUST have (2) blank visa pages that are adjacent to each other.
  • The Passport MUST have at least (6) months remaining validity from date of entry.

 

NOTE:  Please be advised that your passport should be undamaged. Passports should be free of fraying, tears, damage to the credential page and pages that have been seperated from the binding.

 

 

B)  Complete (1) On-line Azerbaijan Visa Application Form.  Complete ALL fields. If non-applicable indicate N/A.

 

  • NOTE:  Azerbaijan Visa Application is an on-line form. Enter e-mail address, create password, complete, print and sign form.

 

 

C)  Two (2) Passport-Size Photographs(Click to review specific requirements. Incorrect photographs may cause a delay or rejection of the visa issuance).

 

 

D)  Business Letter of Financial GuaranteeProvide a Business Letter from your current employer or sponsoring company in the United States (fax and/or scan copy acceptable).

 

 

E)  Business Letter of InvitationProvide a Letter of Invitation from the company in Azerbaijan that you will be visiting (clear fax and/or scan copy acceptable).

 

  • NOTE:  An invitation from a receiving party should be sent through the Consular Department of the MFA; the instruction from the Consular Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the confirmation of the invitaiton should be received by the Embassy. F)  Proof of Travel.  (A copy of applicant's itinerary, airline ticket or e-mail confirmation).

F)  Complete TPAVC Order Form and payment.
